The first thing you notice is the atmosphere: calm, thoughtfully designed, and immediately relaxing. Hats off to the interior team for creating such a pleasant space. While the concept leans more towards vegetarian cuisine, meat option is available with the main course. The four course surprise menu is well prepared and uses fresh ingredients. The wine selection is good and complements the food nicely. The staff is very friendly and welcoming - I enjoyed it. Overall, it’s a great spot for a relaxed evening with a local and seasonal touch.

I am not a vegetarian or vegan, but I enjoy an occasional no meat meal as much as the one who is. The menu had only 2 items, a surprise 4 course meal with or without meat otherwise all courses were the same. The meals that we had in Gartenhus were excellent. The chef really made the veggies in each dish shines. Salad was refreshing. The main course was a medley of side dishes and I particularly liked the braised red cabbage with chestnuts, although not AYCA, it is possible to ask for more. The service was also very fine, our server explained to us what each course was. The restaurant situated in an old building and the restaurant grows their herbs and ingredients are also local.
Cozy warm place, with beautiful decoration. The mix of flavours during the entire meal is incredible. You can see the presentation by opening the photos Totally recommend! And the price is normal and fair for a Swiss restaurant. No complain. Also, we had an excellent service provided by the waitress that was kind enough to explain us everything in English.
The occasion was my 25th wedding anniversary. My lovely wife being vegetarian, I was looking for a restaurant with good vegetarian options. GardenHaus was all that and some ! We opted for the mystery 3 course meal and the experience was amazing. Carefully crafted dishes made with wholesome vegetables grown locally by the business contributed to an unforgettable experience. Our appetizer consisted of a warm bread with eggplant hummus laced with herbs and oil. The bread was crusty and warm, delicious. The first course consisted of Mancini balls made with bouncy - crispy and golden served on a bed of pureed cabby carrots and ginger. An in between - before the main course was a cucumber and elderflower granitas a refreshing and such a great palate cleanser The main course consisted of two tagliatelle pasta sauteed with a hint of garlic served alongside ratatouille and mini corn fritters. Dessert was an exquisite torte served alongside lemon sorbet. Coffee followed with a miniscule home made biscotti - could have had the whole box of that -'but may have needed a crane to lift me. Service was excellent and the restaurant is located in a quiet neighborhood. Highly highly recommended!
Loved my experience here! I got the 3-course vegetarian meal (for -49) and ate every bite. The food was delectable and so was the local wine suggested. I ate at a few other restaurants in the city center that were much more expensive, and this one was by far my favorite food and price of the trip — absolutely worth taking the short bus ride outside the old town. The service was also incredibly sweet! If I’m ever back in Luzern, I’d absolutely come back.
The atmosphere is wonderful (if you like plants) and the lovely waitress made sure we spent a great evening. Despite not having a menu (card) we enjoyed every course and were surprised by the various ways one can serve vegetable dishes — meat was available aswell. Thank you for a perfect end of the week.
The lady serving us was amazing and so passionate about the food and wine which made our experience amazing. The food was fresh and of excellent quality, the portions throughout the 4 courses left us very full and content ! Can’t recommend enough.
